Founder of Excel.edu, GurtekBir is a student at Pathways World School Aravali, where he is currently studying subjects such as HL Mathematics AI, Economics, History, SL Biology, French B, and English Literature & Language. His academic curiosities lie at the intersection of digital literacy, inclusive growth, and the role of businesses in addressing structural inequities.

Through his coursework at school and other involvements such as leadership roles and an independent research project, GurtekBir has developed an awareness and sensitivity towards how the growing digital divide in society disproportionately affects some people more than others. His active involvement in peer mentorship, school leadership, and entrepreneurship has led him to believe in interventions that combine skill development with systemic change rather than working independently of one another. Excel.edu was born from this understanding, with the aim of fostering equitable participation in India’s evolving digital economy.
